Fred Couples and Arnold Palmer are committed, dates have been set and Inglewood Country Club is reserved as the site.
But still no title sponsor has been found to take over the golf tournament formerly known as the Ernst Championship.
Last year at this time, organizers had pre-sold ticket packages for the two-day July tournament, which is hosted by Couples and features some of the best PGA Tour players.
But when Ernst Home Centers filed for voluntary Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July, the tournament lost its major ($275,000) sponsor. Tournament director John Bracken said he's spoken to several companies about taking over for Ernst, and is ...
