In the TV dramas ``Civil Wars'' and ``L.A. Law,'' Debi Mazar connected with millions of viewers as Denise Ianello, the brassy legal secretary with a heart of gold and nerves of steel.
Many people found Mazar's New York-bred character, who jumped effortlessly from one show to the other, remarkably accessible. She was tough but vulnerable, pushy but accommodating at the same time.
This spring, Mazar moves from drama to comedy with the CBS show ``Temporarily Yours,'' about a New Yorker named Deb DeAngelo, who desperately needs a job because she finds the perfect apartment right after quitting her job as a makeup technician in a department store.
