For optician Deborah Trauter of Woodinville, being selected out of hundreds of small businesses to feature her product on QVC Inc.'s home-shopping cable network was almost as good as winning the lottery.
Since being one of 20 businesses selected out of a statewide search two years ago, her sales growth has doubled. She has sold about 70,000 units of her proprietary eyeglass-cleaning system on the air.
Now QVC is coming back to Washington to search for another round of businesses to feature in its shopping broadcasts. QVC buyers will be in Bellevue Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bellevue Community College, and in Spokane Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ...
