Item: May 5 - Palestinian Minister of Justice Freih Abu Medein states, ``The death penalty will be imposed on anyone who is convicted of selling one inch (of land) to Israel. Even middlemen involved in such deals will face the same death penalty.''
Item: May 9 - The United Nations Committee Against Torture said today that Israeli interrogation methods such as prolonged sleep deprivation, violent shaking and cold air amount to torture and should be halted immediately. The Committee Against Torture also denounced the use of threats, loud music and other interrogation methods that Israel uses on suspected terrorists.
