BITE MEANS ROBBY WON'T BE A BOBBY.(News)

Two days before his scheduled debut as a crime-fighting dog, Robby was thrown off the force for bad behavior.

The newest member of the Washington State Patrol's bomb squad took off after an 8-year-old Poulsbo boy Monday afternoon, nipping at his legs and sending him to the hospital with puncture wounds.

The boy was released from the hospital within a few hours, but the State Patrol was suddenly forced to expel the 3 1/2-year-old Belgian malinois with his tail between his legs.

A news conference scheduled to announce the addition of Robby and his explosive-detecting buddy to the patrol was canceled.
