Glamorous and flamboyant, Anna Kournikova tried to steal the spotlight at Wimbledon from Martina Hingis.
But when the challenge reached Centre Court, Kournikova came up short.
Hingis easily won the battle of 16-year-olds yesterday, 6-3, 6-2, to become the youngest Wimbledon finalist in 110 years. The precocious Swiss Miss faces 28-year-old Jana Novotna tomorrow, with each player seeking her first Wimbledon singles title.
