Boeing will increase jetliner production to record levels next year.
The already-bustling pace of commercial jet building will get even busier as the company increases monthly production by 48 percent.
Yesterday's announcement of plans to boost output from the present 29 aircraft a month to 43 by next spring was the sixth time Boeing has increased production rates since March 1996 and is the highest rate in company history.
The company's decision reflects its efforts to cope with growing demand for aircraft from the world's airlines.
