Aircraft representing five decades of aviation history will fill the skies over McChord Air Force Base tomorrow and Sunday as the base opens its gates for a two-day air show commemorating the Air Force's 50th anniversary.
Military aircraft ranging from the World War II-era C-47 to the new B-2 stealth bomber will make demonstration flights during the show, said McChord spokeswoman Capt. Adriane Craig-Wood. (The B-2 demonstration will occur tomorrow only, scheduled at 4:35 p.m.)
Other aerial events will include a mass parachute drop of 200 Fort Lewis-based Army Rangers from a group of seven C-141B Starlifter transports based at McChord, as well as single ...
