To prevent possible illness, dairies selling unpasteurized milk must warn consumers that their product may contain harmful bacteria, the state Department of Agriculture announced yesterday.
Beginning Oct. 12, a new rule requires all containers of unpasteurized milk to be labeled:
``WARNING: This product has not been pasteurized and may contain harmful bacteria. Pregnant women, children, the elderly and persons with lowered resistance to disease have the highest risk of harm from use of this product.''
