Children's literature has a tendency to conclude with a moral that teaches a lesson. So what is it here? 1. Stick with your own kind and stay out of trouble? Or 2. We can be different and, if we don't insist on changing one another, we can still be friends.
Seattle Children's Theatre is involved here. And since SCT is widely known as an infinitely nice organization, I'm sure you had no trouble coming up with the correct answer: option 2, of course! ``Stellaluna,'' a current SCT production, is another triumph for diversity, tolerance and goodwill, at least in civilized Seattle.
