The ``hidden problem'' of Scots racism against the English is to be investigated by Britain's Commission for Racial Equality after a sharp increase in attacks on so-called ``white settlers.''
The commission, which has backed legal actions brought by English people in Scotland, has asked the lobbyist group English Rights Scotland to compile a ``discrimination dossier' detailing evidence.
English Rights Scotland was set up this year by Newcastle, England-born Paul Smith, who sued his Fife, Scotland, employer for failing to stamp out anti-English racism.
