Patricia Peabody Roosevelt, widow of Elliott Roosevelt, son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, died Tuesday at her home in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Mr. Roosevelt, 74, a Seattle native who lived in Bellevue with her husband during the 1980s, was the granddaughter of Charles Peabody, founder of the Alaska Steamship Co. and the Puget Sound Navigation Co., which made up the Black Ball Ferry Line, precursor to the state ferry system.
Mrs. Roosevelt graduated from Forest Ridge Convent in Seattle and was involved in many community activities, including the Junior League. She worked as a messenger at The Boeing Co. during World War II, then began a career in fashion at Helen Igoe, ...
