A Superior Court jury yesterday found Quentin Ervin guilty of the least serious of three murder charges and deadlocked on Eric Smiley, triggering angry screams and sobs from members of the family of slain Seattle police Officer Antonio Terry.
The jury, which was entering its sixth week of deliberations, the longest of any jury in a criminal trial in King County history, found Ervin, 19, guilty of second-degree murder and not guilty of two more serious charges - aggravated premeditated murder in the first degree, and attempted murder in the first degree.
