Mike Siegel, the king of ``hot talk'' radio in Western Washington, was suspended from Seattle station KVI yesterday for airing false and scandalous rumors about Mayor Norm Rice.
``This was something we felt we needed to do internally out of standards the company holds,'' said Rob Dunlop, vice president for operations at Fisher Broadcasting, which owns KVI.
He said Siegel was suspended, not fired.
``We have not passed any judgment on Mike,'' Dunlop said.
Rice, backed by church leaders, had denounced Siegel at an extraordinary news conference last week. The Democratic candidate for governor was on the campaign trail in Eastern Washington ...
