If you go to Santa Fe . . .
Getting there: Santa Fe is in north central New Mexico off Interstate 25, about 60 miles north of Albuquerque.
Where to stay: Santa Fe has more than 4,500 rooms in and around downtown and on Cerrillos Road southwest of downtown. Hotels come in all shapes, prices and sizes. Eldorado is the largest, with 218 rooms. There also are a variety of bed and breakfasts, a hostel and condos.
