The king of Qawwali didn't receive particularly royal treatment at his Paramount performance, but that didn't keep Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan from ruling the crowd. By the middle of his second set of Sufi devotional music, Khan and his 10-piece group had fans dancing with their hands flying above their heads in ecstasy.
The night got off to a bad start when the concert's producers, MCA Concerts and Tasty Shows, decided to move those with balcony tickets to the main floor, where there were plenty of empty seats (no wonder since floor ticket prices were $50 and $75).
