Okanogan County has cleared the way for construction to begin on a destination resort called Arrowleaf, the downsized successor to the Early Winters project that divided residents of the rustic Methow Valley for more than two decades.
When its 1,200-acre Arrowleaf resort is complete in 25-30 years, the R.D. Merrill Co. says, it will include a golf course, 100-room lodge, equestrian, swim and tennis centers, restaurants and shops, all open to the public, plus about 600 homes, including 100 units for employees.
A four-season resort, it will also feature extensive trails that will link to those maintained by the Methow Valley Sports Trail Association, ...
