It was an offer she couldn't refuse. Whoopi Goldberg wanted to look like Marlon Brando.
In her latest movie, ``The Associate,'' which will open nationwide Friday, Goldberg's character disguises herself as a white man to be taken seriously in the business world.
``They asked me, `Which white man do you want to look like?''' Goldberg recalls. ``I said, `Make me look like my favorite actor.'''
Done. Her face was altered with white pancake makeup and chunky prosthetic cheeks. Her body was padded to make her look like Brando - well, Brando about 100 pounds ago.
The effect was convincing, Goldberg reports.
