ERIC JAVITS: CHANGING THE SHAPE OF MILLINERY
CHICAGO -- "The millinery market has changed considerably. Younger women are wearing hats and there are fewer rules about when and where to wear them," said Eric Javits, New York hat designer, while make a personal appearance at Neiman-Marcus's North Michigan Avenue store here.
Besides Neiman's, 31-year-old Javits sells his millinery in Saks Fifth Avenue, Marshall Field's, Chicago, Bloomingdale's, and Macy's. This year, sales for company, which carries his name, should total $3 million, reflecting a 25 percent increase over 1987.
