Not long ago, a businessman and his wife about to tee off at the fourth hole of a local golf course were startled to see President Clinton and three golf partners pull up in their carts behind them.
The businessman, exercising his best sporting manners, quickly asked the president if he wished to play through. The president did.
But the golfer's wife, who doesn't care much for Clinton anyway, was not so amenable to losing her turn. She turned with a frown and quickly began to stride away, radiating silent hostility.
