Boeing's record hiring blitz that has already brought in 20,000 new jobs this year is expected to continue next year but at a slower pace, the company's chief executive said yesterday.
As Boeing scrambles to meet rising demand for passenger jets and begins work on several key defense projects, the company's work force has expanded to more than 125,000 (not including about 21,000 former employees of Rockwell International who were absorbed into Boeing last week). That's almost triple what Boeing predicted in its official employment forecast issued earlier this year.
