Uniroyal Chemical has developed a new ornamental miticide, Floramite [R], that was discovered by research scientists at their Guelph, ON research laboratories.
In June of 1999 Floramite [R] was registered by the U.S. EPA as a reduced-risk pesticide for the control of mites on greenhouse, shadehouse, nursery, field, landscape and interiorscape grown ornamentals. The active ingredient in Floramite is bifenazate.
Bifenazate (hydrazinecarboxylic acid, 2-(4-methoxy-[1,1'-biphenyl]-3-yl)-, 1-methylethyl ester) belongs to a new class of chemistry for miticides. It was the most effective compound among the carbazate class of miticides invented by the author, a ...
