Washington-based WorldSpace Corp. is embarking on its "most important" business opportunity this September when it rolls out commercial satellite radio services in three Asian countries - India, the world's second most populous country, Indonesia, the fourth most populous, and Singapore, one of Asia's most developed countries.
The company already has one satellite covering Africa and the Middle East, but the market that is expected to provide WorldSpace with its best chance to become a viable long-term business is Asia and its population of more than 2 billion.
