Electronics Is New Watchword for Many SC Knitters
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FNS)--Electronics has become a watch-word among many South Carolina knitwear manufacturers, with at least one knitter in the state boasting a completely automated sweater knitting facility.
Several knitters across the state have made major machinery purchases within the last year that will increase production speed and output levels, with 1988 spending expected at least to match last year's capital outlays at a few mills, executives told DNR.
