COUNTRYSIDE: I'm sorry to say my vinegar-making, according to the recipes in 83/4:44, was a disaster. What was to be two gallons of white wine vinegar is instead two jugs of a disgusting liquid covered with a thick scum and black mildew. We haven't quite figured out the best method of disposal. What did I do wrong?
I do have a good idea for those readers who've discovered the healthy benefits of sprouting but are frustrated by the small amounts most sprouting methods produce.
