Latin American Presidents Gather in Brazil For Summit to Discuss Trade, Integration
The presidents of South America's 12 nations are gathering in Brasilia today for the first-ever summit held exclusively for the continent's leaders (OD March31,p4).
Foreign ministers are also attending, though no foreign energy ministers are expected.
Petrobras President Philippe Reichstul was trying to make last-minute arrangements to travel from Rio de Janeiro to the Brazilian capital to attend. About 100 Latin American businessmen are holding a parallel meeting devoted to the private sector.
