THE cry from a squad of young North Warwickshire riderswas "We're on the way to Wembley", after a fine win at the National Pony Club Championships, staged at Sansaw Park in Shropshire.
The North Warwickshire Pony Club team were competing in the Spillers Mounted Games Championship, a sport where skill, dexterity and a cool head under pressure are vital.
Up for grabs, as well as the championship title itself, was one place in the Prince Philip Cup at next month's Horse of the Year Show, Wembley, one of the world's best known mounted games events.
