PROJECT OVERVIEW
The local privately owned KERMANSHAH PETROCHEMICAL is currently said to be gearing-up to build a new nitrogen fertilizer complex in Iran. The proposed manufacturing base, to be sited adjacent Kermanshah, is expected to require an investment of $500,000,000 to complete.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a facility with installed production capacities of:
- 660,000 metric tons per year (mt/y) of urea;
- 400,000 mt/y of ammonia.
Operational start-up is tentatively scheduled to begin within 3 years time.
