Sep. 4--NEWTONVILLE, Ky.--Spencer County's bicycle motocross racetrack near Newtonville is "awfully close to being open and ready to go," co-owner Chris Still said Friday.
Still and his wife, Cathy, worked with the National Bicycle League to build a track on their property at county roads 600 East and 900 North. The track hosted an open house in July, and now, the Stills are pointing to Sept. 16, when professional BMX riders from Warsaw will do a freestyle demonstration as part of the Grandview Fall Festival.
That will be another chance for area youth and adults to learn about BMX racing and sign up for the program, Chris Still said.
