Sitting on the kitchen counter in his Mission Viejo home, 3-year-old Jake Lawicki gleefully spreads frosting on homemade chocolate cupcakes. His sparkling eyes and rosy, apple-esque cheeks, make him look like a poster boy for kids' megavitamins. He's the picture of well-being and happiness.
But for Jake, one bite of (or even mere contact with) eggs, milk or nuts could be fatal.
