Top Gear's new presenter Jason Barlow is uneasy about answering one seemingly innocuous question - has he ever bought a car and regretted it?
'To be brutally honest with you, I've never owned a car,' he ventures cautiously, 'but there's a good reason for that before you hang, draw and quarter me.'
Well I wouldn't punish his honesty, but it does seem a curious admission from a man who has lived and breathed cars since he was a toddler and has already established his obsessional interest in Driven, Channel 4's successful Top Gear challenger.
