MD A30 (Reg. no. GP-53, PI 610239) is a germplasm line of Maryland (Type 32) tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) developed by the Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station and released in 1999 because of its resistance to the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) and Race 0 black shank [caused by Phytophthora parasitica Dastur var.nicotianae (Breda de Haan) Tucker (= P. nicotianae Breda de Haan var. nicotianae G. M. Waterhouse)].
