Maybe she would have enjoyed retirement more if she'd taken up golf. Exhausted from the Atlanta Games, Chinese diving star Fu Mingxia swore she'd chamoised herself off for the last time. But after three years of studying economics, a grueling 100-dive-a-day regimen apparently didn't seem so bad. Fu, just 22 as she heads into her third Olympics, already has three gold medals. In Sydney she'll climb the three-meter board looking for two more.
A double win would put Fu on top of the all-time gold-medal heap in diving. Russian divers Irina Lashko and Yulia Pakhalina will try to stop her, but Fu's record bid could depend ...
