Sep. 8--Stock in JLG Industries Inc. rose 6.8 percent Thursday after the company reported record sales and a 16 percent increase in net income for the fiscal fourth quarter that ended July 31.
The McConnellsburg-based manufacturer of aerial work platforms surpassed $1 billion in sales for the fiscal year and said it hopes to double revenues over the next five years. Annual sales totaled $200 million five years ago.
The company said it expects earnings of $1.55 to $1.60 a share for fiscal 2001, up from $1.37 a share in the fiscal year that just ended.
