Sep. 8--NEWPORT NEWS, Va.--The Newport News Industrial/Economic Development Authority is expected to fund a $75,000 study today that will give the city either a battle plan for building a cruise ship terminal or the bitter truth that the odds are against its success.
The study is Newport News' reaction to a study being done by the Virginia Tourism Corp. on luring cruise ships to the Old Dominion.
