NEW YORK-Riding a recent wave of success, retailers and manufacturers are anticipating a big fourth quarter for tabletop fountains as a greater variety of styles pique consumer interest.
"Fountains were definitely an important part of our strategy last year and they are going to continue to be," said Jerry Balest, vice president and creative director of home store at Federated Merchandising Group. As the category has evolved, said Balest, fountains have begun to incorporate more functions, such as the inclusion of candles or vases as part of the design.
