CHICAGO-A recent federal court decision dismissing a Title VII lawsuit that alleged discrimination over sexual orientation offers employers more confusion than guidance, legal experts say. In Hamner vs. St. Vincent Hospital, the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on Aug. 24 that Title VII specifically prohibits discrimination based on gender, not based on sexual orientation.
