Even a year after departing as Gov. Tommy Thompson's secretary of administration, Mark Bugher still talks like the governor's man in the trenches.
Bugher, who now heads the UW Research Park, is in regular contact with the governor, be it business or pleasure.
``It's quite a different role than what I had before, not being involved in the political wars and the budget struggles,'' Bugher said. ``The give-and-take is a much different environment. That's somewhat refreshing and somewhat liberating.''
