Sep. 10--TELL CITY, Ind.--Perry County Council President Pete Franzman says the county's budget is in better shape than in the past.
That's why he feels it is a good year to give raises to some county officials and employees.
County Council members will meet to discuss those possible increases Tuesday during an all-day budget session beginning at 8 a.m.
The Association of Indiana Counties 2000 Fact Book lists Perry County, in a pool with 12 other counties with populations between 15,000 to 20,000, as having some of the lowest paid sheriff's deputies, jailers and commissioners.
