AFTER studying brochures of coach trips around the States, my wife, sister-in-law, brother-in- law and I decided that the early-morning starts and overcrowded itineraries were not for us.
Instead we plumped for a self-drive, tailor-made sightseeing holiday.
First, we studied a good atlas of the States and all chipped in with our 'must sees'. Eventually we came up with a package that suited everyone.
