A Christmas tree makes a difference, courtesy of one North Carolina retailer.
Sometimes charity is less a dramatic, one-time act than an ongoing commitment. Ken and Kay Plummer, the owners of Abigail's Fine Gifts in Wilmington, North Carolina, had supported a local hospice for many years. They contributed regularly to fundraising events for the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, which provides inpatient care and other services for terminally ill patients.
