Repsol-YPF has call option to increase its stake in the Chilean gas group Lipigas from the current 45% to 55% in 2003. The multinational company had acquired that 45% stake last July from the Yaconi-Santa Cruz group for US$170mil. Repsol-YPF aims to become a major player in the Latin American LPG market.
