ITN has appointed Battle Bogle Hegarty and OMD UK to launch a [pound]2m advertising campaign promoting its new 24-hour news channel.
BBH won the account after pitching against Banc and BMP DDB, and will work in association with designers Lambie-Nairn on the creative work.
ITN started the search last month, as revealed in Marketing Week (June 16), and launches the channel on August 1.
The agencies were picked by ITN chief executive Stewart Purvis, director of marketing David Robinson and the channels launch managing director Michael Jermey.
