Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy has won confectionery maker Thorntons' [pound]4m advertising account.
The agency, which is being asked to rebrand Thorntons as an everyday rather than seasonal brand, picked up the business after a three-way pitch. Thorntons refused to name the other agencies.
The media account is unaffected by the review and remains with New PHD Compass.
Miles Calcraft will develop a TV, press and poster campaign to break in November.
The review was called after Thorntons parted company with Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R (MW June 15).
