How much of an annoying name-dropper was Dennis Miller last night?
The out-of-place irritant to "Monday Night Football" viewers began ABC's Patriots-Jets telecast with a crack about "Woodys," then piled on references to Linda Blair, Alfred Hitchcock, Dick Fosbury, Cab Calloway, Jimmy Hoffa, Drew Carey, Sigmund Freud, Michael J. Fox, Hoyt Wilhelm and even Pueblo skipper Lloyd Bucher.
And that was just in the first half. Why, he even tried to show off historical smarts by invoking the House of Plantagenet, which ruled England back in 1100 or so. Weren't you impressed?
Woodys? ABC's Dennis the Menace needed a laugh track when he reached to claim ...
