The Christopher Gist Historical Society will begin its fall season with a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Wood Brothers Smokehouse & Grill, 1622 Dixie Highway, Park Hills. A social hour will precede at 6 p.m.
''Horseshoes to Hubcaps'' will be the subject of a talk by Leo Stamm, co-owner of the Fort Mitchell Garage, 1420 Dixie Highway, Park Hills. He will review the life of his grandfather, Joseph Kuchle, who was born in Germany in 1874 and came to the United States in 1891 to start a blacksmith shop at Kyles Lane and Dixie Highway.
