Tennessee Gas Pipeline said this week it has successfully renegotiated contracts with existing long-term customers. As a result, 80% of Tennessee's total capacity is now under long-term contracts.
The announcement followed the completion of the first phase of its contract negotiation process. About 70% of the El Paso Energy affiliate's total firm transportation and storage portfolio was scheduled to expire next November, with 30% remaining under long-term contracts.
Tennessee and its customers have been engaged in extensive negotiations concerning the renewal of these contracts for the past 18 months leading up to the contract notice deadline this month. ...
