Sep. 20--Thirty-three members of Macon's travel and hospitality industry are bound for Nashville this morning with a message they hope will be music to the ears of travel planners in Tennessee's Music City.
"We're taking our music city to their music city to show them all the reasons they should send their tour groups, conventions and leisure travelers to Macon," said Janice Marshall, president and chief executive officer of the Macon-Bibb Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Marshall said the overnight trip is the first-ever Song & Soul of the South Tour.
