Sep. 22--FORT WORTH, Texas--UPS Worldwide Logistics will expand its operations at Alliance Airport after leasing all of the first 320,000-square-foot distribution facility only weeks after its completion.
The subsidiary of United Parcel Service has purchased an additional 24 acres from Ross Perot Jr.'s Hillwood Development Co., and is building a second 400,000-square-foot distribution and technology center at Westport and Independence parkways.
Construction crews are already moving dirt on the second facility, which is scheduled to be complete by mid-2001, company spokeswoman Lynnette McIntire said.
