MANHATTAN, Kan. _ Kansas State finished off its non-conference schedule here Saturday afternoon with another whipping of an overmatched opponent. And they did it in a way that should give upcoming opponents cause for concern.
In the 55-10 victory over the University of North Texas, the Wildcats blocked two punts (instead of returning them for touchdowns). Quarterback Jonathan Beasley ran for five touchdowns, but more important, he completed 12 of 15 pass attempts for 202 yards. The defense allowed just 138 yards of total offense _ 66 of those coming on one long run against the second-team defense.
